September Wrap Up

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAI am going to try a new monthly recap feature here.  For right now, it will be simply a review of what has been played over the last month, but there is a potential for more.  For now, though, here is the recap for September.

Lords of Waterdeep 2
Caylus 1
CO₂ 1
Ginkgopolis 1
Glen More 1
Railways of Europe 1
Railways of the Western U.S. 1
Railways of the World 1
Samarkand: Routes to Riches 1
Terra Mystica 1

Lots of variety in September.  I played 10 different games, and only played one game twice, though we did play Railways of the World three times, but on three different maps.  Samarkand: Routes to Riches was the only truly new game played.  It was fun, but a little light.  I can see it getting played a bit as a filler between bigger games.  Railways of Europe was a new addition to the Railways of the World experience.  It will definitely be seeing more play with smaller groups.

Other than that, we played some old favorites and some games that haven’t really seen the table enough.  Getting CO2 and Lords of Waterdeep on the table was great, seeing as they hadn’t really had a chance to shine.

Outside of board games, I returned to painting a bit.  I picked up some Trollbloods from the Hordes game system, and I’ve been having a great time with them as you can see here .

Looking forward to October, and I have a few new games on order that I am excited to try.  The weekends are a bit busier, but there should be plenty of time for games.

Until next time, happy gaming!
